After some time, the thumbscrew on the Wen oscillating belt/spindle sander will get too tight to remove by hand. Using a pliers or some other tool will wreck the knob. This tool give you the extra leverage you need to easily loosen the knob.
NOTE: This does NOT fit the Ridgid oscillating belt/spindle sander.
